Bangka Tourism- Bangka Island is the biggest island in Bangka Belitung Islands Province (Indonesian: Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung). It lies in the east of Sumatra Island, Indonesia. It borders on South China Sea on the north, Belitung Island on the east, and Java Sea (Indonesia: Laut Jawa) on the south.

“Bangka” according to the colloquial of Bangka people means “old” or “very old”, so Bangka Island can be defined as “the old island”. Word “Bangka” also comes from “Wangka” which means “tin”. Because in this area there are tin mining materials, this island also called “Tin Island”
